THE LIFE AND DEATH OF COLONEL BLIMP

New Restoration!
Friday, October 19, 7:00 / Sunday, October 21, 2:30 / Tuesday, October 23, 7:00
Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger's first masterpiece in Technicolor has undergone a new restoration that IndieWire calls "breathtaking." Roger Livesey delivers a virtuoso performance as a career soldier from 1900 to 1940, in a romantic and comedic epic that costars Anton Walbrook as the German who becomes his lifelong friend, and Deborah Kerr as the three different women in his life. This love letter to England was produced over Winston Churchill's objections, and how lucky we are he didn't get his way! (UK 1943) 163 min.

Restored by the Academy Film Archive in association with the BFI National Archive, ITV Studios Global Entertainment Ltd., and The Film Foundation. Restoration funding provided by The Material World Charitable Foundation, the Louis B. Mayer Foundation, Cinema per Roma Foundation, and The Film Foundation.
