Seventeen-year-old Sara is deeply devoted to her family and her faith. As a Jehovah's Witness, she dutifully spreads the word as she follows the path to eternal salvation. After a fellow Witness persuades her " to try out stuff" , Sara meets Ties, a sophisticated musician who happens to be a non-believer. Sara struggles to resist the powerful attraction between them and finds herself facing a difficult choice; stranded between doing right by God and doing right by the people she loves. Director/Writer Niels Arden Oplev avoids demonizing the insular religious community and instead explores the complex territory between faith, love and trust. In Danish with English subtitles.
