director and to "answer or avoid" questions from the audience.

Korty - Oscar and Emmy Winner (Who Are the DeBolts?)
"I have to thank Herb Caen," was one of director
John Korty's opening comments following a
special screening of Who Are the DeBolts? on Sunday
May 8th at the Smith Rafael Film Center. He first
became aware of the DeBolt family after reading about them
in Herb Caen's column in the S.F. Chronicle
newspaper. He contacted Dorothy DeBolt and
asked if he could make a documentary film about their family
of 19 children.
