Return Engagement! New Film!
with Michael J. Nelson, Bill Corbett
and Kevin Murphy
of Mystery Science Theater 3000
Co-Presented with SF Sketchfest
Returning to the scene of the crime after their
uproarious performance in January, the merry madmen behind television’s cult-favorite Mystery
Science Theater 3000 have selected another victim for their diabolical
purposes and will premiere their glib and hilarious live commentary for a feature-length
film onstage at the Rafael. RiffTrax are Michael J. Nelson (MST3K’s
lovable “Mike
Nelson), Bill Corbett (robot “Crow” and alien “Brain
Guy”) and Kevin Murphy (bubble-headed robot “Tom Servo”),
and before your very eyes and ears they will deconstruct a movie they have
handpicked for this occasion (and never before provided commentary for). Nelson,
Corbett and Murphy all wrote, directed and performed on the Emmy-nominated,
Peabody Award-winning MST3K during its remarkable 10-year run. Accomplished
writers and producers in their own right, they continue to collaborate on such
joint ventures as the movie commentary projects The Film Crew and RiffTrax.

Following their performance at the Rafael, they will engage in a discussion
with the audience. Program approximately 2 hours. SF Sketchfest presented its
sixth annual comedy festival in January. The festival has included appearances
by Paul Reubens, Amy Sedaris, Fred Willard and many others. For information
